For this first edition of The Couch Club, Clara Cebrián's genius and freshness have been key to turning our sofa into an icon. The artist manages to dismantle the conventional and spark the curiosity of those who observe her piece. Clara embraced this project from the beginning with an idea that was already germinating in her mind, which is perhaps why she has managed to make it so recognizable.
“I always wanted to make a sofa, when they proposed it to me I didn’t have to think for a moment, the idea was always there in the output tray: a very simple print but being handmade figure by figure it gave that visual taste of human error.”
Come and discover “OH,SIT!” from October 28th to November 8th, a collection of works of art where comfort merges with artistic expression, transforming the act of sitting into a unique experience. In addition to being a cultural encounter, this action has a charitable purpose; the proceeds raised will go to the Ankaria Foundation. This organization supports young people with artistic talent who do not have the necessary resources to develop their careers, giving them the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
