Designer Ynés Suelves and her mother Maria Osorio, known as “La Beltraneja”, founded Ynés Suelves, a firm that has since its beginnings intertwined art and fashion in each of its creations. Mother and daughter stand out for their creativity and you can see how inspiration and admiration flow between them. This work created for RV74, “Nereida en calma, hija de Nereo” is born from a world dominated by gods and sea creatures, who give life to their own showroom, turning our sofa into an extension of it, as if it had always been there.
“Mermaids have always been known for being mischievous and not very kind… However, the Nereids, daughters of Nereus, one of the Gods of the sea, are the good mermaids who saved sailors who fell into the sea. These actually have legs, but I decided to paint them with tails and portray all the beauty of the sea waters that I imagine.”
Come and discover “OH,SIT!” from October 28th to November 8th, a collection of works of art where comfort merges with artistic expression, transforming the act of sitting into a unique experience. In addition to being a cultural encounter, this action has a charitable purpose; the proceeds raised will go to the Ankaria Foundation. This organization supports young people with artistic talent who do not have the necessary resources to develop their careers, giving them the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
