WHEN ART SAYS...

WHEN ART SAYS...

Works of art don't need a voice when they're sustained by craftsmanship and ignited by creativity. When Art Says... is an encounter between pieces that recognize each other and begin to converse. Art and design have a lot to say, and they do it best together.

“Keep your head in the clouds and your feet too!” This composition, comprised of the work of Enrich R and the luminous clouds of Celine Wright that pervade it, invites us to reflect and put not only our heads in the clouds but our feet too.

This proposal, presented by the Alzueta Gallery, is born from the complicity between works that, although essentially different, speak the same language, where art and design do not compete, but rather complement each other. Each shape, each texture, each color participates in an intimate conversation, revealed only to those who know how to observe closely.

“Pick up the phone, childhood is calling!” Gabrielle Graessle’s work, along with Mario Bellini’s chameleon sofa, Gianfranco Frattini’s armchairs, and Maison Jansen’s buffet, seek to entertain us and briefly bring us back to a childhood where playing meant life or death.

“It's time to reflect. Who are you?” Max Cobalt is the name of an art project in which the artist is anonymous and will not reveal himself for another 10 years. And that's why, at this desk designed in the 1950s by the visionary Pierre Paulin, we reflect on who that artist might be...

“Throw the ball to de-stress.” Santeri Lehto, with her minimalist works, represents the everyday. And what's more mundane than our need to escape the daily stress in a corner where we can create, find inspiration, or simply retreat from the daily grind.

“Breath in, nature is within.” A jungle formed by elements of nature invades this space, from the palm trees and bamboo tables to the works of Bruno Ollé, who draws on an intimate and subjective archaeology.

“First on the menu: Freedom of speech.” The dining room is perhaps the ultimate space for sharing ideas, dreams, and even debates. Artist Emeca excels at using freedom of expression as his most authentic form of creation, and that's why the conversation around this table flows.

Art and design seek to provoke emotion, convey an idea, and create an atmosphere. When art says…, it becomes a dialogue between artists and artisans that materializes in a shared language. It invites us to look with different eyes. To let the works speak and the environment respond. To find that precise harmony where everything fits together and the message becomes clear.

“Do you hear the ocean?” A sculpture rescued from the bottom of the sea, the charred wood of the Yakisugi table, the irregular silhouettes of the Kilzi lamps, and the textures and colors of Antonia Ferrer's works make us hear the sea as if it were a conch shell.
