Pair of original Art Deco tables from France from the 1930s in oak wood with parchment tops.
Although today we are not very accustomed to seeing it, in Art Deco furniture the use of parchment—usually treated goatskin—became especially popular in France during the 1920s and 1930s as a luxury finish, valued for its satin texture and warm tone. This material provided a smooth, durable, and slightly translucent surface, allowing for a refined contrast with fine woods such as oak or rosewood.
90cm long; 68 cm depth; 48 cm high.
