The Frères Cloutier, Robert and Jean Cloutier, were prominent figures in post-war French ceramics. They trained alongside some of the great names in French ceramics of the time: Robert worked with Georges Jouve and Jean with Michel Rivière, both later collaborating with Pol Chambost before opening their own workshop in Paris in 1955.

Their work is characterized by experimentation with materials, textures, and reliefs, with their pieces in lava stone being especially renowned.
